Jewels Harrison, 22, is a pianist from New Canaan, CT. Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of three, Jewels developed an immediate interest in playing the piano. Initially trained by a classical pianist, his expanding musical curiosity led him to jazz and pop.

Jewels has performed with the Presbyterian Jazz Society, the Especially Everyone Ensemble in multiple venues, and most recently with the Stephen Colbert Band at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, raising funds for adult autism programs nationwide.

​

Jewels also serves as a role model in the special needs community. He is a catalyst for the Simply Music Gateway Program, which provides online music instruction for children and adults with special needs. He has performed at numerous fundraisers to inspire and encourage individuals with disabilities to develop their musical gifts.
